I'm not sure if I'm doing it right but im trying to record audio from another synth into an audio track in the sequencer but when I play it back it's no longer there. Another thing I try editing a sound in the ms20 and try add a hd sound and it won't let me combine the 2 different synth types is the only way to do it in combi mode or can it be done in program mode as well. Sorry for the silly questions I've just recently purchased a Kronos SE |

good for you, u got the SE.
You have to save your SEQ/audio tracks to DISK.
try the manual for the step by step save to DISK mode.
And load the file or Song from DISK _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Combi mode is where i first try all my sound combinations.
Program mode should allow at least 2 Oscillators and each can draw from a list of sounds that can be samples or tone generator based.
So mixing of two sound types should be possible between the 2 oscillators per program.
The various sound engines do present some inconsistencies, but for sound mixing, you need to focus on the oscillators in the program and the list of sounds and sound types you have available for the oscillators.
I recall seeing in a sound engine program, a list for sound type and a separate list for the individual sounds themselves.
That is where you find out what you can and cannot mix at program level.
I always start in combi mode and then back track into program mode oscillators only when i need to slim down polyphony loading, or look for finer details in a single sound. |

Mixing the 2 oscillators is no problem I was just hoping combi mode wasn't necessary for the different engines but it kind of makes sense so standard hd engine can have 2 oscillators where as the exi are different per type so it's best I fine tune my sounds in prog mode and mix them in combi mode to combine different types |
