Hi Guysss

Every time I used the midi out from the KP3 to another device it also controls the other device when i'm tapping on my KP3. I only want to send the BPM information to the other device. Can someone tell me which steps/ settings I need?

thank you guys in advance Smile

Hi,

What do you want it to do exactly?

When you tap on it, the KP3 will measure your tempo and set its bpm. The consequence is that it will send over MIDI out the tempo clock given the current BPM. Other slave devices will pick up the clock and synchronize to it. Typically devices never sent out a message passing the selected BPM, but instead adapt the master clock that they send out.

You can disable the transmission of the clock, but I'm not sure that that is what you are looking for.

Bye

What is your other device?
You need to set that ones clock to internal.

Hi Guys,

Very late response, hope you are still there. Kinda gave up on the problem, but it's still there. Sorry for not responding (still new here after 2 years Rolling Eyes )

The situation:
I have a midi out (clock set to internal) from my kp3 to my Waldorf Blofeld. I only want to use it to send bpm information. But when I switch on my effects on the kp3 (press 1-8 on kp3), it also changes my preset on the Waldorf to another sound. It also happens when I change the Waldorf for the eventide space, so I assume I can change this settings in the Kp3.

Thank you in advance for a response (and this time I have set notifications for a reply Embarassed )

Hi,

Look for the MIDI filter settings of the KP3 and disable the Program Change message. It will prevent that the program change message is transmitted when you change the effect on the KP3.
Refer to the manual at p21.

Heve fun.
