Hey all, long time no see!

I'm looking into grabbing a Radias at a great price- however, the owner is telling me that tempo-based FX have clicks/pops in them.

I remember having this same problem on the R3 I used to own, but I followed a guide on the forum to solder a capacitor to filter out noise that would affect the tempo.

However, in poking around, I haven't been able to find mention of the same issue with a Radias. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, do you know a way to repair it?

re gen noise?
are you thinking pulse noise when the sample or noise starts?

unless click track is washing through with board bleed over....
you should not have it....
I have never noticed it in my 6 units I have here in the studio...
let me know if you have it..
it will all depend on what sound you are using...
and your adsr settings.

attack ramp up rate might be it... as in no ramp at all..
keep in touch!!

I don't actually have the unit in front of me- it's one I'm considering buying.

The seller says that these artifacts only occur with tempo-based efx, which leads me to believe it is an issue similar to this:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=38899

In the case with the R3, signal noise affects the reading from the tempo potentiometer, leading to jitter that causes artifacts with tempo-based efx. Filtering out that signal noise solves the issue.

I don't believe it's patch/adsr related as if it was, the problem would be present in all efx- not just tempo-locked ones.
