Seems this is the issue I am having with the HDD, particularly after USB disk operations. So can it be turned off by the user?

It's a message that the PA throws up after disk operations via USB.

When I try to load a song after such operations it messages that Auto Save has malfunctioned (my word as I cannot remember the exact wording as it flashes so quicky) the PA is then frozen and need to be re-booted.

Ok it did t again this time I noted the message:

"AUTOSAVE HAS ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR WHILE SAVING A RESOURCE"

Obviously somethingto do with disk operations, but why must it freeze the PA?

anyhoo just thought I'd update with the exact message.

Hey Dennis

You seem to continually get the most weird and unusual errors/issues on your PA4X - could it be a lemon?

If it's still under warranty (3 yrs in Oz), I would be insisting on getting it fully checked out.

Cheers

Hi Pete,
haha yes it does seem that way. I only really have issues when it comes to disk operations. Live (touch wood) it seems to behave itself.

I lease my gear and this one expires in November, so I may look at something different, or if it settles down or other bug fix OS updates are release I may hang on to it for a while.

Seriously considering converting any of my songs using MIDI or Styles over to MP3's and looking at the new Kurzweil SP6, nice bit of gear!
