Hi there.
Please your help with a Midi connection/communication problem.
I am using a Yamaha P80 (Midi Out) connected to my Triton (Midi In) to use the weighted keys of the P80. This works fine with the Triton sounds. Now I have a Roland JV1080 (Midi IN) connected to the triton (Midi Out). In Sequencer mode I want to play the JV1080 hitting the P80 keys while the Triton records the Midi data. My situation is that the Triton records the midi data and it plays it back via th JV1080 but only after I recorded. I don´t hear the JV1080 while I am recording.
Is there a way to do that right?
Thanks in advance. |

Have you tried coming out of the Triton's Midi Thru to the Roland module? |

The Triton THRU port lets me play the JV1080 without problem. But then the Triton sequencer doesn’t trigger the JV anymore when playing the recorded MIDI notes. I would have to always manually switch the JV midi cable from THRU while recording to OUT while playing back.
Sorry for my rudimentary MIDI experience. |
