Hi folks,
Just bought my korg kross 88 and using my PC speakers as of now. Need to buy either a sound system. pls advice on how to go about as am totally new in using a workstation. My requirements are as follows.
    1. Only for home use ( not for studio use).
    2. Will use PA system wherever am going out for gig.
    3. Preferably less than 200$ (Rs.15,000).
    4. Mostly will use piano sound and sometimes drum track and other tones.

Please pour in your suggestions !!!! Laughing Laughing

Hi,

I think you've posted on the wrong forum - this is the Kronos, rather than the Kross forum. You should try here instead - http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=73

You'll probably need to provide some more information as well.

You don't mention what other gear you are using. If you have other synths or wish to make use of the Kross's aux outputs as well as the main ones as part of your set-up, you'll need a mixing desk. How many channels will you need?
You'll need some active monitors, too - either to go directly from the Kross if that is all you are using, or else out of your mixer if more than one instrument or set of outputs is involved. As an alternative to active monitors, you may wish to consider an amp and some passive monitors, although this will involve you in some extra cost.
The size of your monitors is also something you need to think about - is room size or the proximity of neighbours something to which you need to give consideration?

Hope you get some good answers, anyway. All the best...

If it's just home use and not studio, and you don't need them to play out, what's wrong with your computer speakers?

Yep PC speakers may do, but I feel its output is jarring for the output of kross. or is there any other PC speakers tat works good for kross ?
