Our band is performing the Cheryl Crow song Steve McQueen and I need some help in creating an approximation of what sounds like a pick being dragged a bass string with some filtering and/or what sounds like the sample being played in reverse. I've attached a link for her Youtube video. You'll recognize it as it's at the end of the two bar guitar phrase in the intro and also pops in and out of the entire song.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Not at my Kronos at the moment, but here's a couple ideas that may help.
1) Record/sample your guitarist doing the pick scratch, using either the Kronos or something like Audacity. Add effects as necessary. Then convert the finished sample into a Korg program. (See the sampling section in the manual, follow the "convert multisample to program" instructions).
2) Using an audio program (like Audacity), record/sample the actual bit from the Sheryl Crow song. This is a bit trickier because you'll need to edit out the drums, I didn't hear a clean spot with just the sound alone in the song. Again, convert it to a program. Alternatively, you can just put the wave file directly on the Kronos disk, cue it up during the song by going to Disk mode and selecting the file. Then hit "play" on screen to play the file this way. Clumsy, but works. I use this method for extended one-shot samples, like the symphonic snippet at the beginning of Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth, or the "hand in the bush" ending of No More Tears by Ozzy.
3). Find a close enough rising pitch sound on the Kronos. Try using the search function in the Kronos. Or you can search manually in the Special FX category. A oscillator sync sound or a high resonance white noise sound might work too, with the FX re-done.
Good luck!
