Nothing yet, but I don't believe it's a con... Just very, very unorganised and unreliable. Rolling Eyes

If you are curious try e-mailing Garth and ask him.

Since Korg Creator is released now and it's 50% off at the moment I am thinking of buying it and wonder if anybody is working successfully with this tool? Feature list looks promising.
What annoyed me is that the purchase page at sampler zone still says it's in beta test phase?

The last news/update I got was still Beta - "Official" release dates, so far, have all been and gone. Still no CD - I've waited almost 6 months now Rolling Eyes

My personal advice? AVOID!

I've now purchased Samplit 2 and I export files as SF2 to the Kronos. Suits me fine.

Th whole thing sound vaguely suspicious to me: who still distributes software via physical CD exclusively in this day and age?

CD is ok, assuming it arrives and the software works as advertised. But you're right, download option would mean more customers.
Arround 20 years ago i purchased Ensoniq ASR 10 software from chicken sys. I even had to put dollar notes in an envelope and send it before I got the floppy disk. But hey, it worked fine Smile

Yup, although beta versions are released every-so-often, but to the extent that you become a beta tester and not a consumer Rolling Eyes

He releases CD because of security and piracy thats why. He will send the CDs with the CD KEY that you need but in the meantime he will send you the same key by email.

He does this with all his software mainly for security purposes. As for where is the CD? I suspect he will be releasing the full version in the next month and he will start sending them out. I do know he is a busy person working on the software. I would rather wait for him to finish the product to get it out of BETA (another reason why you haven't received the CD because its in BETA form, its even written where you buy it its in beta form for now) than for him to send out the CD in beta form.

Hope this clears things up for you..And no I don't work for Garth, I just submit bugs and stuff to him all the time, I'm a pain in his butt. He listens but sometimes he's hard headed. Example: Why would you put in Translator Pro to not use -L and -R for SOUNDFONTS in the Korg Kronos Section of the app when it should be in the SOUNDFONT section?

Sample2 is a good hardware converter and I'm helping him with what we need as a hardware to software sampler. They are doing a good job and yes I'd wish Extreme Sample Converter would get on with it but I guess that guy died or something because the "Working on ESC upgrade" has been on his website for 5 years now.

Thanks rpowell, one question: when order the CD now, do I get the beta version as a download immediately?

Yes, you do - Once purchased, it's available via Samplerzone.com

Don't get me wrong, the software is starting to look really good (after a very shaky start) - it's just the missed deadlines and release dates etc. that grind my gears.
