PostPosted: Thu Jan 22, 2015 10:30 pm    Post subject: Software 3 safe Kronos upgrade - backup / restore ? Reply with quote

I have done a search on the forums and didnt find any expected results...

Is their a safe way of backing up all programs and combis before installing system version 3.x then restoring them once the update is applied?

I have far to many custom combis and midi preset settings with other softwares to have a mess up happen during the update and loose them all.

Thanks,

Just save a PCG file - Before I did the update I saved a PCG file on the internal drive and copied to a USB stick as an extra backup. But I didn't need to reload it afterwards as the update didn't change any of the Programs/Combis.

It's the FX-1. Had it since 2008. I repair organs and digital pianos and have had many organs. This one I kept even though I don't play organ that well. Love the way it looks though! I can knock out a couple of tunes that use the pedals. I spend most of my time on the Kronos. Smile

Why do you use two KRONOS? Is not one enough?

I first bought a second hand KROME and I decided to keep it because has different PROG and COMBI compared to the KRONOS. In the IPAD I use several musical APP playing via MIDI through the KRONOS board
