So I purchased a used Korg Micro-X that was broken. From the pictures it looked like the power supply jack and power switch were missing. However when I got the unit the whole power supply board was gone. The power supply board is KLM-2679 and is no longer available from Korg or any other dealer - Parts is Parts, Syntaur, etc... Does anyone have a service manual for this unit or at least the schematics for the power supply section? Thanks!

My Korg Micro-X got dropped on the plug and busted up the power jack on the board. I was looking for a replacement part as well.

I can send you a photo of the board--but I don't know anything about schematics.

Hey nemeth. Thanks for the offer. I'll keep looking for the schematics but I may need a picture of the board to recreate it. Also if just the power jack broke off you could probably just replace it unless the pcb was damaged as well.

If you ever do build a new one, build a few; you could sell them to some of us here. I'd buy one just to be safe. Because:

I believe this is the 'Achilles Heel" of the X50. Mine went loose, then eventually I had to attach alligator clips to that small PCB, then that didn't even work anymore, and the unit was toast.

I finally found another X50, and am being VERY careful with the DC input jack and switch. In fact, when I am not traveling with it, I turn it off and on by unplugging the AC plug from the wall socket.
The area around the power switch gets a little hot if left on for long, and this might loosen whatever adhesive is being used. So I try not to leave it powered on for long periods of unuse.

I figure one day it will go, but I'm postponing the inevitable. I've thought of epoxy or crazyglueing the socket to the chassis, on the back of the unit, to eliminate the real (or imaginary) wobble I'm already beginning to feel; but I've decided that would eliminate some repair options if it ever does go, so I won't be doing that.

The problem might be that the central hole on the power supply plug is a little too narrow for the prong on the unit where it attaches, leading to just a little bit of pressure every time you plug it in. If the DC jack wasn't directly mounted to the PCB, but was firmly mounted to the chassis, this might well not be an issue.

For the record, a repair tech once told me that the power receptacle socket (which is soldered in 3 places to that PCB you are looking for plans for) is an unorthodox piece, not a standard one.

Any update on finding the schematics for the board? Mine just went out on me, would gladly pay for a new board if they existed.

I'm almost done with a working prototype for the KLM-2679B regulator board for the Korg X50. I plan on making a few of them. Who is still interested? What should my target price be? Should I sell them assembled or unassembled?

This youtube video is what helped me fix my x-50. Requires you to just order a new female adapter and solder it to the previous points of contact needed.
