Do you have a link to such a product? Because I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'MIDI to mini jack' cable...
It will probably not work, because I think you refer to a 'DIN to mini jack' cable. The plug that is used for MIDI cables is in fact a DIN plug.
In the early times audio amplifiers were connected to tuners, turn tables, ... using audio cables which had the DIN plug. So I think your cable is one to connect old audio equipment with new audio equipment. The cable carried audio signals.
The kaossilator receives/transmits MIDI, which is a digital signal. The Monotribe receives/transmits a kind of pulse for synchro. So, although your cable will fit in both sides (tribe and kaos) the signals itself are not compatible...
Unless there is some box between both cables converting the signals from one to the other format...

If you want to sync the Monotribe via MIDI, you'll need to mod it. |

Well, concerning the SQ1 adaptor cable. The answer is still no for the Kaos and Monotribe combo. It is exactly that kind of cable what I'm referring to in my previous post. However the SQ1 is implemented as such that it outputs MIDI on a minijack... It is a matter of what protocol is implemented on a certain jack...
So for the Kaos and Monotribe one option is to mod the tribe as Kernelkunt suggests.
Second, introduce a third box in between like... the SQ1. I think you can make it the master clock and then send via MIDI the clock to the Kaos and via Syn Out the clock to the tribe (sync in).

You can sync via Midi but you would need to mod your monotribe. _________________ Check out my patch creation blogs:

I had this combo (Kaossilator Pro and midified Monotribe) but I was never really happy syncing those two:
1) it is a pain to exactly hit the "1" on the KaPro
2) I had regularly what I would call a "sync-drift" with the KaPro (its loops
went out of sync after a period of time) - I think there are some
discussions conc. this problem with the KaPro in this forum
Therefore I sold my KaPro..... _________________ Have a look to my YouTube-tutorials on
