Very nicely done, and really good for learning more about sound programming with detailed and clear explanations.

Okay, this is a 3 part tutorial, mostly because I'm doing two independent sounds and wanted to incorporate what I was thinking for the entire thing.

Here are the videos:

part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

And the final sounds:

So here are the details:
EE-000 and EE-001 are the sounds.
Combi - U-E000 is the Combi that includes both sounds for a performance version.

Please let me know your feedback. I'm definitely down for learning to be better!

Hi mate, you are making a wonderful job with this for all us Genesis fans. Thankyou very much.

Just a quick link, i don't know if it will help or not but the eerie voices patch for the main lead sound is the "strange Voices" preset from the Synclavier II, there is a video here just with that sound isolated and clean. Hope that helps in any way Smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohUTUw0t_kI

The Synclavier preset is pure FM synthesis, no external sampling in there

As for the pulsing sound, it's originally from the Arp Quadra, i think played with the quadra seq turned on for the pulsating sound. On the latest Genesis tour Tony used his Quadra samples thru the Oasys with a midi gate to turn the notes on/off and he is just holding the chords

This is AWESOME. Any time I can get isolated sounds, I can get them WAY closer to being accurate. This is fantastic. I'll likely go back to this sound after I'm done the current list I have and re-do this to be even more accurate.

I appreciate your help!

No problem, glad i could help Wink I went thru endless searching about all of Tony's sounds some years back so i could try to recreate some, and found lots of info on the forums.

That "springy" type of sound Tony uses on Mama in that little riff after the "ah ah ah's" is from the Emulator i think...
