i just went thru this with my year old Kronos 61 that i have babied to the max.
i checked for loose RAM, loose red SATA cables, changed battery..still had problem.
took it to local Korg service center and it was the power supply. many have posted here about "System startup failed, please disconnect any USB device"
but it looks like no one particular culprit can be nailed down.
best of luck and keep us posted. |

A couple of people above have mentioned "during shutdown". What does this mean? I just switch mine off. |

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. As it turned out, the 1GB stick of RAM I had put in several years ago went bad, causing the entire issue. Removed the RAM I added and all is well. Order a new 1GB stick. _________________ Korg PA4X, Korg PA3X 76, Korg Kronos 61, Yamaha S-80, Korg Triton, Kurzweil PC2R, Yamaha AW4416 Digital Recorder, Ensoniq EPS-16 Plus, Roland D-20 |
