Hello to everyone in the world of Korg.
Let me begin with my kit to help you:-
Korg Kross 61
Focusrite Scarlett Studio Recording Package - http://www.dawsons.co.uk/focusrite-scarlett-studio
KRK Rokit RP5 G3 Monitor Speakers (Pair) - http://www.dawsons.co.uk/krk-rokit-rp5-g3-monitor-speakers-pair
Cubase Elements 7
Cubase 6 LE - came with the Focusrite Scarlett Studio
Midi Lead
1 of these - http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/nikkai-pure-connectivity-635mm-mono-jack-cable-3m-black-n49fy
...and lastly one of these - http://www.dawsons.co.uk/estudio-usb-to-midi-interface

Now all I need to know is what I'm missing to set up my keyboard so that the sound comes out of both speakers not just the LEFT one. All the drivers etc have been downloaded successfully and I am able to record HALion Sonic SE instruments no problem _

The above tracks were recorded using my Kross but the sounds from HALion Sonic SE and I really didn't invest £600 just to play other sounds from another source. Having waited for this moment for 40 years to achieve this dream I'm not giving up now.

What I really need from you guy's out there is HELP!!! Do I have all the right leads? Do I need 2 leads to record my keyboard from the front of the Scarlett to the back of the Kross - jeez my head is spinning just thinking about it all lol.

If anyone can help me, you guys can and as a bonus I will dedicate my first proper recording to the person who comes up with a masterplan of how to reset all my gear to get me up and running.

Best Wishes,

John Neilan.

In the most simplistic manner it should be as follows

1. The left and right output from your Kross should be connected to 2 separate inputs on your Scarlett.

2. your Scarlett should have 2 speaker cables going directly to your monitors. L & R main outputs

3. If you are using a single cable from your Kross (Left Mono out). Then it should be connected to a single input on your Scarlett. The sound should come out of both speakers.

4. Be sure to check your DAW channel assigned to your Kross as mono or stereo based on how you have it connected. I. E.
Scarlett channel 1 (mono). Or Scarlett channel 1&2 for stereo.

Dear Brkross,
I can't thank you enough for your reply and you will now be the recipient of a song dedicated shortly. I had a feeling that what i should do but I was getting frustrated by it all. The reason is simple, most of the music I've posted on YouTube has been drag and drop loops using Magix, so using this whole new technology is daunting but...I learn very very quickly. Better get a move on with that track lol.

Many Thanks again,

John Neilan.
