I have the M-Audio Mini 32. It is a USB MIDI controller that is USB only. I also have a DIGI 003 with MIDI IN/OUT. Is is possible to control the Volcas with this USB keyboard via the connectivity that I have available?
I wish the Mini 32 had MIDI out, but I guess that they had to cut that out to make the cost lower. I also wish that there was someone out there who could mod them to have MIDI out much like they are modding the Volcas to have MIDI out. If you know of anyone who does this kind of stuff, I would pay for it in a heartbeat. |

You can connect via a computer, or there are plenty of cheap MIDI controllers with hard MIDI out, like the Miditech range. |

yup, slug is right - basically anything that connects to your computer via USB and also has a standard MIDI out jack should allow you to route MIDI out through that port.
if it has a MIDI input jack, that should work as well - provided your computer recognizes the usb midi port, of course (and it should with the right drivers). |
