I just took delivery of a lovely Kross 61, but for various reasons (namely, I'm moving into a new apartment and am devoid of stuff) only have iPhone headphones to test it on (I have a couple of pairs).
Both pairs give me muffled mono output when plugged into the Kross, not stereo. However, they're both four ring headphones (i.e, they have a mic in and out), so I suppose it's possible the Kross isn't able to support them. I don't suppose some good soul with a Kross who has a pair of iPhone headphones could check whether this is indeed the case and I simply need to grab a proper pair of headphones, or whether I need to get on the phone tomorrow to swap it out!
I will say, if it is intentional and the Kross doesn't support four ring minijack headphones it does seem a little odd when the main selling point is portability! |

I know!!!
Here's my experience: the iPhone headphones don't make proper contact with the Kross headphone prongs. You have a choice of 2 channels out of phase (basically just reverb, lol) or pulling it a little bit out and getting one channel.
One workaround is to plug the iphone headset into a female-female stereo 1/8" connector, and plug another 1/8" stereo cable into the other side of that connector, and plug the other side of that 2nd cable into the Kross. That seems to work.
Maybe Korg could do a retrofit, but it would be complicated. |

You're quite right - brought back an actual pair of headphones today and it works like a charm. That's a relief! |
