Resurrecting an old thread.
Since this thread died, there is an interesting general purpose midi based editor for iOS devices. It's called Midi Designer and their site is located here:
http://mididesigner.com
There are already some specialized editors that the community has developed and shared for a number of synths (unfortunately not, the MicroStation as of yet)
But here's some examples of a control panel that was designed for a Roland JD-990: http://mididesigner.com/community/midi-controller-for-the-roland-jd-990/ As you can see, very deep levels of control can be laid out.
I don't know if it would allow a sequencer editor to be built, but it should be possible to create a touch screen control based patch editor for the MicroStation if there's a creative programmer in our midst.
(I have no affiliation with Midi Designer, but I do own a MicroStation. ) |

I agree, a new editor would make the MS much more useful. It really is a very powerful synth, but it should have been a little more straightforward. _________________ "Jazz is not dead. It just smells funny." -Frank Zappa |
