Actually it sounds like Old English Folk Music. Great soundtrack for a Movie set in Robin Hood times. _________________ https://m.youtube.com/user/1967runningman |

The beauty of the Kronos, is there are plenty of sounds and effects available to create any genre, especially with the availability of really good additional downloadable programs/combis available free and otherwise. So it's easy to go from genre to genre without feeling that we're missing something. That's a great feeling. Hal _________________ My Music: www.youtube.com/Halunlimited

Thats true Hal. I always think that the Kronos gives you all the colours you could ever need to fill in your sketches and give them what ever life you choose. _________________ https://m.youtube.com/user/1967runningman |

And The Genre is 'Hal2001' | I think that solves it. That fits in with some of the advice I've been given on this, which is, you don't always have to describe a genre. Thanks. Hal _________________ My Music: www.youtube.com/Halunlimited

I actually prefer the "less reverb" approach. I find that it gives you a much more reallistic sound in that you get to hear the music and not get lost in a wash of ambience. Unless of course that's the effect the composer really wanted. Reverb is often used to give the illusion of space and like a lot of things, at first it seems like a lot is good, But after a little while, oh oh!
As for the genre, I would have to call it "folktronica'!

Feel free to use the name! | Jeremy, are you saying that my original reverb level is too much, or that it would be too much if I added more, as was also suggested? And thanks for the new genre classification. _________________ My Music: www.youtube.com/Halunlimited

More would be too much. I think that you are pretty much maxed out reverb wise. It suits the music though and I do have to say that I like your tune.
Reverb gives you the illusion of space; a big hall as opposed to a small room. However an outdoor feel is pretty much reverbless. No walls for the sound to bounce off of.
It's all a matter of taste I guess but my taste tends to run towards a dry approach. I wasn't always of this mind however. I used to love the big reverby sounds of the 80's. _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

Enjoyed listening to this track. Very effective use of set list switching with a foot pedal. (Makes me realize I need to get a foot pedal!) |

Glad this gave you the idea. It's definitely more comfortable having your hands free to focus on the keys as much as possible. Otherwise, something's gotta give in the playing. _________________ My Music: www.youtube.com/Halunlimited

I've always loved both effects but it can become saturated. I'm interpreting your comment as having reached the limit without exceeding it. Hopefully. Thanks for the perspective. _________________ My Music: www.youtube.com/Halunlimited
