I'm having a real problem comprehending the process of editing initialized user combos.
My understanding from reading the documentation is that if you are creating a layered combo you can add a different timbre on each track up to 16.
The user init combis all default to L/R piano on all tracks and when I begin to change various tracks, I can't hear any of the changes except track one.
Whatever timbre is assigned to track 1 plays through just fine but any additional changes made on other tracks simply don't happen as far as I can hear.
I don't know if I'm missing a setting somewhere or dealing with bad hardware.
I can make and hear changes to the preset factory combis without a problem unless I initialize them in which case they act the same way.
Can anyone help?
Thanks |

See: microSTATION_ParamG_E2.pdf
page 18: COMBI PlAY> COMBI EDIT> Timbres> Timbre 01-16> MIDI ch.:01-16
page 20:
MIDI Ch. (MIDI Channel) [01...16, Gch]
This parameter allows you to sets the MIDI transmit/receive
channel for each timbre.
Gch: The timbre will use the channel that has been selected
as the global MIDI Channel (p.60).
---
Means you need to set MIDI ch. for each Timbre 01-16 to the SAME MIDI Ch.=01G ,that you want to combine with.

Thank you VERY much!
That solved the problem.
I would never have dug that info out of the parameters manual without knowing where to look!
I truly appreciate your help!
