Can anyone tell me what SSD drives are guaranteed to work with the PA1x please?
I can say the KingSpec 32g KSD-PA25.6-XXXMS does NOT work in either Master or Slave modes.
Thanks |

Thanks Detlef but I can't buy it in Australia..unless one wants to pay around $250+
It can also be got from the USA for around $78 to $135, but then the shipping costs are MORE than the item!!
I think I will just stick with a new standard IDE had drive...at least then it will be plug and play...why SSD makers had to make Cable Select the default setting (iE no jumper attached) is annoying. When the standard for 2.5" drives was no jumper = Master Mode! |

i wrote you a pm.
i think you did it wrong to format to FAT32.
Delete all partitions on ssd and build it in the key and format it there. |

Nah still no go..
It seems most likely it is an issue with the Kingspec drive and the PATA controller...
I have read elsewhere that folks have had issues using this drive on older gear...
I will just put in a standard (but new) IDE HDD |

Did you try it as master and slave?
I cannot imagine that this shouldn´t work. |

Yes, master and slave and cable select...the PA1 OS simply refuses to "see" the drive at all...only shows the FD and CD |
