I've finally figured out how to record and save a drum pattern on the Kronos, but how/where do I go if I want to re-name a previously saved drum pattern? |

Load your sequencer directory in Disk mode
go to sequencer mode
press bottom 'tab' pattern/RPPR
find or create the pattern you want to name
press the tab 'pattern name' which is between pattern edit and RPPR Setup tabs
Press for example PATTERN 00 and rename.
You can use the pattern in any song that you create but keep an eye on where you are placing them and which midi channel it is, as it can get a bit confusing and you can mess other songs up, just take your time, is my advice. You will soon get a natural work flow and it soon becomes second nature.
I suggest that you use the same midi channels for your drum tracks.
Hope that helps. Thats what I do, anyway.
( remember, you can use the preset patterns and copy them to a user pattern and edit them from there)
Enjoy your Kronos _________________ https://m.youtube.com/user/1967runningman |

Ahhh - gotcha. So we're saving the name "on the way in" (i.e. at time of saving) rather than being able to change the name directly on an existing pattern (as you can with a regular program, for example).
Thanks very much for your clarification.
It certainly is an awesome AWESOME machine! |
