A couple questions for any microStation owners...
It has 4 chord-assign buttons, where you hold down the notes, then press a button to assign that chord, right? But they are not velocity sensitive like on the M3, right?
You can make your own arps. But can you do that right on the board (real time or step), or do you have to use software editor via USB to create an arp?
The sequencer is full featured, right? Meaning it is not like those arranger sequencers where you can't even do basic stuff like insert measure or send channel to external gear (local off).
No rumors of a new microstation coming out, right? I would wait to buy a 3-octave microstation that runs on batteries, but assume no such animal will ever appear. |

1. Unfortunately, the mS features no chord buttons whatsoever.
2. You have access to a handful of parameters to edit the arp patterns which can get saved into the patch you're playing on, but to actually change the placement of the notes or create one from scratch, you need the editor.
3. Sequencer is indeed full featured and has all the same editing features as the M50. There's also an added "loop" function. The downside is the song operation/edit commands are only accessible from the machine itself on the tiny sized screen. The editor just allows you edit the sounds and effects within the song more easily.
4. No rumors as of it. Seems unlikely this soon. _________________ Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin |
