Saving to any connected USB device is easy as long as the system knows the device is there.
1. Plug in USB drive
2. Go to Disk mode
3. Tap the 'Media Info' tab
4. From the top right drop down menu select 'Scan device'
5. Bottom left of screen now shows available connected drives
6. From that list select your USB drive from the available drives
7. Tap the 'Save' tab
8. From drop down, top right, select 'Save Seq' - make sure your selected USB drive is still highlighted at bottom left of screen
9. Give it a name and save, click Okay
10. Done
I am assuming because you used an onboard sound you don't need to worry about audio tracks/samples/WAVs. _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

Ermm, what's Media mode?
The Kronos Operation/Parameter Guides don't mention it.
The disk mode is mentioned several hundred times, however _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

I know this is a very old thread but it's been quite a while since I used the Kronos' seq to write and record a song. I just did one and now I'm trying to get it onto a USB drive in a format that I can play on my car's stereo. Is there a way that this can be done?
Thanks in advance!

I have an old car,, 2008 Honda.
I copy my song WAV files from SSD to USB stick
USB stick then goes to my PC/Mac where I copy the song/WAV file to iTunes.
From there I drag the song/wav to my iPod
iPod plugs into Honda AUX audio/plays on car stereo _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Hello Jeremy.
Once your sequence is finished :
Go into the drop down menu and choose Auto HDR / SAMPLING SET UP
And then choose Resample sequence play
and then save to disk
After that you will find your WAV file in the internal disk
Then you can transfer it on usb.
Sorry if my post is superflu.

After I've done this, can I still go back and say for example, record more vocals? It's been so long since I've done this that I don't actually remember. I've been recording on my computer now for several years.
Thanks again for your help!

Yes Jeremy !
Because your original sequence is still intact into the Kronos.
So you can continue to work on it and what you want . All is possible !

I thought so. It's been far too long since I actually used the sequencer in my Kronos for writing and recording. I've been using Cubase 10 pro now for quite a while but sadly, for some reason my DAW isn't working properly. It might be my computer, it might be any number of things. I have several good synths plus a stereo tube pre-amp and a guitar multi effect pedal all plugged into a Presonus 16 channel mixer. This is how I get into my DAW. I have a separate computer for online stuff. But since my DAW isn't wokring I've had to come up with other ways to keep on recording my music. Can't stop the art! No way! My SSD in my Kronos was almost full too. I had to get rid of a lot of stuff in the SSD. I've now got around 5G of space so I can record on it. I forgot how much fun it is to record music on my Kronos! And it sounds amazing, too! Next month I'm getting a larger SSD installed but of course, due to Covid, it will take time.
Thank you very much for of your help. I'm certain I will have more questions though.

Well, it worked! So I can play the audio in my car, for sound checks and comparisons. I also made a little video and thought you might like to check it out!
