Hey guys

How on earth! do I get the Kronos to output audio using ADAT to my interface? I have a MUTO MK3 Hybrid. I have an ADAT cable running from the out of the Kronos to the in of the MUTO. I hear nothing... Nothing is muted or anything like that. It doesnt even how that its getting a signal. Is there anything im supposed to do on the Kronos?

The KRONOS optical output is S/PDIF format. ADAT optical uses the same physical transport, but the data format is different. MOTU has a few different interfaces whose names include "mk3 hybrid," but I'm guessing that you have the 828. If so, the MOTU software should allow you to change the optical port from ADAT to S/PDIF format.

Make sure also to use 48kHz sample rate, and set both the MOTU and KRONOS clock master/slave settings to match! You can either have the MOTU sync to the KRONOS S/PDIF, or (if you hook up cables in both directions) have the KRONOS sync to its S/PDIF input.

Hope this helps,

Dan

Oh sweet! Thanks! Yeah I have the 828. Got it working now =). 1 question though. Is there no way to lower the volume through the Kronos? Master and main volume dont work.

Are you connected with only one spdif cable or two. (In/Out)
Are you certain you are clocking correctly? (Motu/Kronos, slave or master?)
At first it can be a little daunting, try to be a little more explicit..

See this, I have just posted.. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=67723
