|
|
Pulling my Kronos out for a gig on Friday night and the top of the vector joystick comes off in my hand!! I can set it back on the joystick post, but there seems to be no way to attach it. It won't screw back on and there doesn't seem to be any threads on the post.
Has this happened to anyone else? How is it supposed to attach? I could probably easily glue it to the post but I, of course, don't want to void my warranty. Yet should I hunt down an authorized service center over something as simple as this?
Tried to search the forum for others with similar issue, but search feature not working today.....
First problem I've had so far with this board. |

Yes, I beleive it happened to Robinhood. He just applied a small amount of glue and re-attached it, with no further problems. It is not threaded, just a slide fit (too loose in your case). _________________ Rhodes 73 Mk1; Kronos 88; Synthex; Electribe EMX-1; Motif XS Rack; Yamaha DX7IIFD; Yamaha MM8; Roland Alpha Juno-2; Roland JV-2080; Tascam FW-1884. |

Re: the vector joy stick. . . . It is NOT spring loaded, right? It's supposed to stay where you put it? _________________ Too much gear to list. |

Correct. I would have rather seen a KAOS pad there, but the vector joystick works well. _________________ Latest Set Up: Kronos 61, Casio Privia, Korg TR61, EoWave Ribbon, Roli Rise 48, TEC Breath Controller, StudioLogic MP-117 Bass Pedals, Moog Theremini.

I assume Keywhiz61 is talking about the smaller of the two joysticks, the one that is not spring loaded, and it is the silver sleeve that has come off. _________________ Rhodes 73 Mk1; Kronos 88; Synthex; Electribe EMX-1; Motif XS Rack; Yamaha DX7IIFD; Yamaha MM8; Roland Alpha Juno-2; Roland JV-2080; Tascam FW-1884. |

Yeah for sure and you're right: Robinhood also had this issue but I can't find the thread _________________ Current gear: Access Virus TI2 Whiteout Keyboard (111/150), Access Virus TI2 Polar DarkStar Special Edition, Gibson Custom Lite 2013, Roland MV-8800 |

If anyone has this problem, please contact your Korg distributor; they should be able to help. I'd also be interested to know the serial numbers of any affected units.
