Just curious if Smooth Sound Transition is active even with a MIDI Program Change?
If I had my Kronos 88, I'd try it myself. But since I'm waiting I'll ask those who have one. _________________

I can't see any technical reason why not. It'd be nice to hear from someone who's tried it though. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

Yup, works fine whether the program change is local (via the control panel) or remote (via MIDI program change). _________________ ________________________________

Im sure it works if sound 1 is a kronos patch and sound 2 is external.
However Im sure you cant technically have SST if sound 1&2 are both external _________________

If the two external sounds are on different external modules it should work... and probably also if they are on two different MIDI channels even in the same external multitimbral MIDI module.
Though it sounds like the OP was talking about changing the Kronos' internal sounds via an external MIDI Program Change command, rather than using the Kronos to send MIDI Program Change commands to external devices (though both scenarios could be of interest). |

Correct... I was concerned about internal Kronos sounds. _________________
