i recently purchased the NI Komplete 7 and using it, however the other day my friend brought his laptop with Omnisphere 1.5 loaded on it and under the same sound system/ sound card and environment they sounded different sonically, most of the preloaded patches in Omnisphere were more suitable for background tracks, maybe film/ media production however I noticed the sounds of Omnisphere to have a certain punch or hmph in them which I felt is lacking in Komplete 7 (FM or Absynth), now Komplete sounds thin when compare to Omnisphere, has anyone else noticed similar results? just curious because now I feel that I should have bought Omnisphere instead.. I love Omnisphere. It is geared toward anything and everything you would need. I too noticed it has many film score sounds that are phenomenal. I am going to make some personal ambient tracks with it to sleep to.

Here is a track I did using it for the lead and pads.

It is my new vst of choice along with Alien303 and Albino3. It blows away Nexus and any NI vst I think.

I like how you can layer and tweak like a real hardware synth that a lot of vst's are missing.

Massive.

Is.

Not.

Good.

I was considering buying it just a few weeks ago because I'm really into Skrillex. But before I eventually decided on my Moog instead, I realized something about Massive:

IT'S JUST A BUNCH OF TERRIBAD WAVETABLES FOR MAKING EFFECTS.

It's barely musical. There's a whole ton of vocaly wavetables, and a few weird chord waves, but otherwise, melodic waves are scarce other than your typical square/saw/etc.

The only thing I really like about it is its mod programs and how you can patch things easily.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey Lotty,
I just purchased Omnisphere, I can't wait until it comes in, seems like an awesome plugin.
