1. The question
"What would you do?" Maybe it's enough only to promise something, no need to actually perform stunts? |
Did you watch the other videos? One guy pledges to make 100 songs with the Kronos. By the way, I did not perform one stunt, though I have a program called After Effects.
Quote: | Still I - being a musician - wouldn't like to be introduced to the world by Korg this way. |
The first response I got on the HC thread was:
"That video was HOT Hope you win Cool sounds too ... "
I think the subtext (The Kronos' sound and synthesis factor) is coming across.
Quote: | I guess all videos will get similar number of views from musicians (who know about Kronos). |
Each will probably benefit from the effort put behind it. For example, I posted on 7 forums, plus Facebook and mine has only been out just one one day. |

Thanks for the reply, Mike.
Yeah, I watched the other videos...
Is this really a good ad to officially publish a funny video together with the latest and most professional innovation? (Maybe yes but I don't believe Korg will sell more based on this.)
It seems popularity is needed at almost "whatever cost". It's very sad for a professional instrument manufacturer company with the most advanced workstation in history.
I shared your video on Facebook. (Although, again, the number of views is not included in the official rules.)
UPDATE: OK, the above is just a speculation. Nobody told at Korg they need a funny video however the "humor" and "entertainment value" are important criteria (and in the event of a tie the latter will decide).
As I already wrote a serious, meaningful video that can touch people's hearts and minds would be much better. Both for the winner and for Korg. _________________ AkosJanca.com | Facebook | YouTube | SoundCloud | FuturePlant || OASYS-demos | nanoROCK demo | Korg Band in the Garage demo | Kronos Demo 1 | Kronos Demo 2

What will I do for my Kronos.
Pay $3000 and wait two more months.
I am working on the video, of me waiting
But the longer I wait on the Kronos, the more other mfg equipment starts to look good, good thing the Jupiter 80 is not available.
I am developing a bad case of G.A.S. _________________ Kronos-6, Krome, M3, Radias, KingKorg, microKorg, KP-2, KP-3, KO-1, KO-1 PRO, Karma, microX, monotron, monotribe, PadCONTROL, Wavedrum Mini, Volca Keys, Beats, Bass, Sample, monotron Duo & Delay, microArranger, M1, Wavestation, Volca Sample, Keys, Beats & Bass, MS-20

The irony is that you would probably be disqualified!
I started thinking of ideas (Robbers stealing a Kronos at gunpoint, playing "chicken" with a Mack truck, etc.) and saw this:
Quote: | Entries cannot contain sexually explicit material, lewdness, obscenity, violence, inappropriate language, depictions of bodily harm, damage to public property, or damage to other people’s property
|
The above statement pretty much wiped out my initial ideas.
My Disclosure: Fortunately, Primal Mike only had a case of heartburn. Rabies and fire breath were simulated.
|
Haha! mine too, I was going all crazy on ideas that were well ehm crazy but than I read that and I was like Damn!
Primal Mike also had a very rapidly expanding stomach that could result in ..um..popping
My video is almost complete. Look forward to seeing what you guys think.
In one sense I agree with Akos. Hes got a point. but Humor is such a bigger seller when it comes to Viral videos, which is why Korg would want it in there. The internet is held together by stupid nonsense thats funny.
My vid has a pretty good crossbreed of serious, noble but also a mix of humor.

You should be in a hurry - IF the number of views counts. |
I am hurrying as much as I can! But I'm not worried about views. I should be able to get more than enough in the time left. _________________ Generic is the Enemy, I am a mercenary and Music is my weapon.

Hey fellas,
Finally got my vid done and ready.
But it really sucks cause the View counter is frozen and won't count any more! :'(
What they said is that I need more hits to get it to keep working. If you could pass it along that'd be wonderful!

That was crazy, but good! I especially liked the music and sounds. Editing was tight, too. Definitely a contender. |
