Hey everyone, I'm working on building a good live music setup, I find a laptop just doesn't have the right feel to take on a stage. I know it will be mostly Korg because I just love their designs, they make a lot of sense for someone who's not a pianist (Have the Kaossilator Pro right now, next I'm getting the EMX-1, Then likely a KP3)
The plan is: Pick a sound on the Kpro and focus on that sound mainly, play it as a lead, something to connect tracks, solo jams, etc. Use the EMX for the majority of my songs for the audio modeling, KP3 for, obviously effects.
But I want a good, inexpensive sampler as well just for highlights in the song, etc. I know the KP3 has that capability but I'd like more than 4 per song if I feel so inclined.
I'm thinking about Roland's SP404sx or the Akai MPC500, but I don't know if there are anything better suited to what I'd want to do.
So thanks for any advice you want to give, it'd be great. _________________ reverbnation.com/flincher |

The Roland SP404 is definitely a capable sampler. I used to have one and was very pleased with the sound quality and features. I can oly imagine the new sx version is even better. _________________ BP Soundcloud Page
