Just curious...is the keyboard action and response exactly the same on the M50-88 and the SP-250? |

Don't have the answer to your question, but I just write to note that the M50-88 uses the same, high-end R3 graded hammer action keybed as the M3-88. It's the best weighted feel I've ever experienced on a synthesizer. Of course, that's always subjective, hence your question. Someone else will probably be of more use... _________________ Korg gear: Kronos 73.

..."Adding to the real-piano experience afforded by the SP-250's realistic piano sound is Korg's RH3 weighted-action keyboard"...
..."Tipping the scales at a mere 46 pounds, the seriously portable M50, 88 key version features our top-of-the-line RH3 Graded Hammer Action"...
Specs says it all... _________________ Martin Ocando

Mine's an 88 and I love the action .. very close to an acoustic piano, and it has a very solid feel .. |

Does anybody know that are they both made in Japan or is SP-250 perhaps made in China like the 61 and 73 models of M50? _________________ KORG M50-61, SP-200 Blue Edition

I agree, owning and playing the M50 88 spoils you compared to other leading keyboards with various key beds. I feel like I am playing a fine Steinway or Yamaha grand piano, plus I like the Korg acoustic piano samples.
