|
|
My Wavestation-SR has arrived from ebay. But:
1) There is no manual for it as described by the seller. It´s only the manual for the keyboard-version.
Where can I get the manual for the SR?
2) All the 3 RAMs have foreign performances loaded, not the factory presets. I have got one Sysexfile and one Midifile with the factory presets, but how do I load it to the SR? I have got the Wavestation editor software, but I don´t know how to load those factory presets to my SR.
Who can help me please? _________________ Andreas

Any chance the original patches are stored in ROM? Try global mode.
Also, you can download a Sysex utility for free... and most computer-based sequencers can send Sysex data. Check www.download.com for one of those. As far as the manual, looks like this site has part of the SR's manual. http://www.korguksupport.co.uk/page.cfm?pageid=392 |

Meanwhile I could manage the download of the factory presets.
The manual seems to be downloadable at a Yahaoo-Group for The WS-SR. _________________ Andreas

Hi Andreas,
When the internal battery dies, all three factory loaded RAM banks (e.g. Ski Jam, Debussy on Wheels, and many others) go by-by.
Where did you get the Sysex and MIDI files? Did you get all three RAM banks (all 150 original RAM perfomances)?
I got a floppy from KidNepro, but I think it is just the original Wavestation performances...weren't there only 50 on the original?
I would like to replace those 150 RAM performances since some of my older sequenced tunes from the early 90's used some of those.
Thanks and best regards,

You will need the ws-editor to replace them. You will get this in this forum in the download area, I hope. There are three banks of factory presets, each has 50 voices. _________________ Andreas

Thanks mate!
It looks as if there is hope for Debussy on Wheels returning to the Soundworld after all!

Hi,
where did you get your sysex file of the original SR RAM banks?
I have just acquired a Wavestation S/R but my RAM banks contain copies from ROM-banks instead of the factory presets and I would like to have them.
I found some sysx files floating around but none of them seem to contain the SR RAM banks.
Thanks!

Hi there
Got an SR off of ebay too and loving it, although I still think I have much to learn because when I load the RAM banks from the sysex librarian, some play and others don't. It might be something to do with loading the performances but maybe not the patches? I don't know.
Reason for posting is that the unit came with no rack mountings. As I'm new to this (got my first rack unit today), I was wondering:
Where could I pick up some rack mounts to fix my SR to the rack unit?
All the best
