Greetings,

This is my first post to the Korg forums, and I am a relative newbie as it relates to MIDI. I just recently bought a nanoKEY to introduce myself to the MIDI world.

I am having problems with the nanoKEY. It seems that 3 or 4 of the keys consistently get "stuck" down when playing. By "stuck" I mean the key is stuck down on the software side (e.g. M1Le and others). The physical nanoKEY key is not stuck down. So, I press the key on the keyboard and the sound starts; however, when I release the key on the keyboard the software doesn't recognize that it has been released and keeps on playing. I usually have to use the mouse and click the stuck key to get it unstuck--very frustrating and makes the unit basically unusable. I would say that this happens on 90% of all presses of these 3 or 4 keys. All of the other keys seem to work pretty well. Also, the keys that get "stuck" seem to register a velocity of 127 regardless of how lightly/slowly they are pressed, so they always sound loud.

I have checked everything I can think of, including verifying the key settings with the Korg Kontrol Editor, but I haven't found anything. I also checked the MIDI commands using MIDI-OX, and it appears that the suspect keys are not sending a "Note Off" command when released. I have been working with it for two days without any improvement.

Finally, is there a manual available for the M1Le software? It seems somewhat involved and a manual would surely be helpful, but I can't locate one anywhere.

Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am beginning to wonder if I have a defective unit.

I'm having the same issue, however it's not just with the M1Le. I use fruity loops as well and it does it consitently with the various soft synths in FL as well. Seems to be the same few keys over and over.

Yes, it seems to be mostly the same few keys. I have noticed that once in a while everything seems OK, but most of the time the "sticking" occurs to some degree.

I have also noticed it in other VST instruments that I have used.

I am considering sending mine back for a replacement.

Anybody else having this issue?
