Hi. I´ve been kind of having a little inspiration to create again...
I´ve come up with a trance/techno sequence (suited for the refrain part)

To my ears it sounds ok halfway in to this clip and forward...
The first part is just a buildup made on the main theme.... (sounds similar tho)

Questions:

* Would this be a "theme" worth trying to develop more, or is it bound to become boring and repetative.
I´m just stuck atm, not knowing how to start the song and make it merge into the refrain & onwards.

* Are the mixer levels somewhere near where they should be ? I.e - drums to high ? Snare to high ? or sumthing else....

Greatful for assistance.

Cheers / Pecca

Hello, Pecca,

Frankly, I don't have a lot of knowledge on this genre, but I listen some, and I feel this has real promise...It really depends on how you decide to develop it, I would think.

It is solid in feel and effect. The prob could be the d,e,f,e,d.. without dropping below the d min. chord at that point...but much trance techno is on just three or even two chords...and stays in a pretty much fixed pattern...(but you know that...and.. your sample begins a little development that sounds good to me...)

So... more simply put...I can say..like it...

Here's my 2c Smile

I like the vibe, theme and synth sounds but ....

I can't hear the kick and that bass might sound better an octave down. The kick and bass should be nestling together and down in their own space. The rest should be sitting on top of that layer.

Daz.

I agree - the foundation is good.

It just seems to be lacking any real depth. Keep working on it for sure.
