Hello all,
Can any of you confirm - KP3 drum programs drift out of sync with samples (which are in perfect sync with each other) after some time. Even synced to external clock, the samples stay in sync, but the drum program (with 'hold' button down) eventually drifts.
I don't (and I would imagine not too many of you) use them all that often (which would explain why we've not discovered this yet), but if there's a problem Korg should know about it. |

Okay,
im a bit of a dj(well, bedroom dj!) but, what i noticed with drums and stuff is that just because you kick the drums in over a cool sample(right on beat) they will drift apart over time (maybe after a couple of seconds...)
if you look at a dj ( spinning vinyl or mixing with CD's) he/she must make constant adjustments to the pitch of the two songs...
For example,The two songs are the same BPM.(in a dj situation)
Song A is playing to the audience, and if you cue song B right on beat with song A (lets pretend its dance music that follows a 4/4 beat),one of the songs will drift away from te other one....fact of life..
unless you have something synced with MIDI or somethin, itll probably drift
apart....unfortunatly,you cannot really "ride the pitch" with drums on a KP3.......but there are very little ways of getting around this on the kp3.
I use the sampler on the kp3 for my dj stuff.ill load up a random drum loop i sampled months ago and literally kick the sample in "On Beat" with
a track im playing live...however the loop i kicked in will eventually drift away from the songs beat, its inevitable!)
So i stop the sample(then do a few filter effects) and throw the sample back in, "on beat" and repeat this as necessary.
"rinse, lather and repeat" ha ha |
