|
|
Hi all.
Quick note to say that the download section has been updated tonight and over the weekend I will catch up on everything and bring us bang up to date. New sections will open too.
In order to prevent this backlog of work in future I'm going to implement a few new rules.
1: The upload form will soon only accept Zip files because some of you seem the be going well out of your way to find programs that compress files into formats that are nowhere even near popular. For me to even open these I have to google the formats and download apps. This is a lot of work for no reason at all.
2: The upload form will soon force you to actually tell me what the your submitting, including what keyboard it was designed for. Nearly all of you are sending files with absolutely no information at all included, and I'm having to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what you sent me, as well as what keyboard the files are for. This is the main cause for the download section not being kept up to date and this needs to be resolved.
3: DO NOT send me commercially available files. Hosting them would be illegal, and the mere fact that the majority of data sent to me is copyrighted is beyond a joke. If I'm any way doubtful of what is sent to me, I have to google it in order to make sure it's safe to host. And in most cases people are sending me copyrighted material that is for sale on other websites. Please DO NOT do this as your only wasting my time.
These rules come into play this weekend as I bring everything up to date and I hope you all can see that these are for the better of the community. The download section has been let slide greatly and I intend to bring it back to all it's glory. But I need your help to do this and work with me.
Kind Regards.
Sharp.

Hi Sharp!
Thanks a lot for your big work and great efforts, I really appreciate it!
I didn't know you were working on the upgrade of the download section, I would be pleased to help you in that heavy task.
Can't wait to see and use the section right now.

Here is my excuse, I got to this group through Google, this week:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/index.php is my bookmark so in fact I have not seen the front page before. I do not think that there is a link on my bookmarked page to get me to the front page. Perhaps someone knows different.
Thank you Diego.
