software wont recognise your keyboard?

have you installed the korg midi driver?

you then have to open KORG USB DRIVER TOOLS in the start menu
and go INSTALL KORG USB-MIDI DEVICE every time you connect your X50/micro-X

if it doesn't work (i had some trouble getting the editor to see my micro-x)

goto UNINSTALL KORG USB-MIDI DEVICE select your X50 from the list (mine had it there, but said it was corrupted)
remove it, and then try install it again.

when everything is working
it should just come up as a midi port in all music programs

I use Cubase SE on XPpro. When I connect the microX through normal MIDI cables, all is perfect. As soon as I use USB instead, my old files play back correct but when I record, ALL the notes are out of time???

EDIT: OK, now I got it:

- Remove previous installation by first removing the microX entry in the windows hardware list. Then uninstall "KORG MIDI USB driver". Make sure the microX is disconnected! Restart the computer.
- Install the "KORG MIDI USB driver" package. (Make shure it's in the control panel, and check that the microX is not on the device list).
- NOW Connect the microX, and let the "Found New Hardware" finish.
- Finally go into "Control Panel" and run the "KORG MIDI USB driver" and select the microX in device list.
