Hi fellas , Just getting setup here , I have an axiom 49 midi controller and a Korg R3 synthesiser ,also an edirol FA-101 interface plugged in firewire into computer .I need advice on connecting them all up midi etc and connections into the edirol, also any good advice on best way to use them to good effect Thanks !

connect:

To have the axiom send midi to the R3 and the computer:
axiom midi out to midi in of R3
R3 Midi Thru to the midi in FA-101

To use the R3 with the computer:
midi interface:
R3 USB to computer USB (do not share/chain with other USB on the same port)
audio interface:
R3 L/Mono output to Input 1 of the FA-101
R3 R output to Input 2 of the FA-101
FA-101 Output 1 to R3 Audio Input 1
FA-101 Output 2 to R3 Audio Input 2
Flip the Mic/Line switch on R3 to Line

To use the FA-101 with the Computer
FA-101 Firewire to Computer firewire

Install the USB-midi driver for R3
Install R3 editor software
Install the FA-101 drivers

Any software will communicate midi directly to/from the R3 using USB
Any software will communicate audio through the FA-101
Any software will receive midi from the axiom through the R3 & FA-101
