I'm almost done but - damn - it took me two months to finish the piece. It won't quite be a "February" song but I hope you'll forgive me.
One more weekend and I'm ready to post

Hi guys
George is setting a cracking pace as usual!
I have started reworking an old piece of mine from 2005 - it's getting a total makeover.
Good luck to you all this month - hope to see all of us make it by end of Feb!
Regards from
Dee |

Well, Feb is no problem for me....since I am doing the same old stuff!!!...It will be a kind of love song...when I and my wife were young...(We won't mention how long ago....), but before our first child... I am doing a series of things about the past right now...and re-writing some of the "Mountian Quest"..
Just ask you friends to put up with my intransigence about change... I have a problem anyway so forgive my "...sameness"..
I have my notebook set and am gonna try to really be some help if I can!!
Regards!!! John (ellll) |

You can do it John - I know you can - from past experience
If you think it might help - post parts of your Work In Progress - get some feedback - it might help spark your imagination! _________________ Care for a jelly baby?

I am totally ready...except I am suffering for the 6th day in a row from a nasty cold, which is why nothing is posted. The song is written, the instruments are all dropped. Vocals? Nope. Nada. Nothing. Not with this nasty cold.
But I should shake it by...the 9th, ha! No, if I am better by this weekend it will be great. Otherwise, I will start on another song, so as to not get behind.
In working outside of my box on the last OSAM by doing vocals, I discovered that I am more comfortable than I thought behind the mic. So while I will be a little out of my old box, I'm really just steering into my new one deeper.

I can understand waiting for the vocal part until your head and throat clear but do continue posting songs with vocals. I still sing some of your songs under my breath while I'm about my day. Love your voice for sure. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

I like the format George used for his topic for our songs...
Song Name - User name, OSAM month
Good for everybody? That will help us to stay a little more organized. Did someone make G a moderator?

I'm not a moderator yet, but I'll pm Daz and see if he'll get me going with an official checkoff list for Feb. I do think it helps to put the info right in the topic title so people know immediately that's it's a song posting and from whom and for what month. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

Are we sure we want to let Stephen in? I mean a deadline is a deadline.
I say the number is closed.
Really, do we NEED another OSAMer? And especially one like Stephen?
Let's be honest here...do we want his STYLE of music in here?
PSYCHE!!!!!!
OF COURSE we want you Stephen...and dude, as much as you encouraged me last OSAM, you got some good motivation coming to you from me!!!! Glad to have you. And GO FOR IT!!!!!

Well, I said before anyone who can make the Feb deadline can join. I don't think we should take any newcomers in March, but hey, Stephen it's still February. You'll just have to get crackin' or share something you're currently working on at least to start out the 12 months. Welcome. I'll add you. You will regret it, but you will be glad as well. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

Great, Stephen!!,
I am sure glad you decided...This is a promise in form from people who have been around once, at least, before. For several this is the third OSAM!! I believe it can be a real boon for all of us, tho' for me it only gives me the pleasure of again knowing people I admire very much, and hearing them. I can do little now, except enjoy...and I do that!
Welcome, indeed..look forward to your writing!!!
Regards, John (ellll) |
