hey, i'm new to this whole midi thing, so i was wondering if someone could help me out...
i want to use the padkontrol to trigger sounds on my cheap casio wk3000 synth (it'll do for now, haha), but i can't seem to be able to figure out how to do it.
they are both set on the same midi channel, with a midi cable going from the out of the padkontrol to the in of the synth, so i thought that then when i pressed one of the pads, the corresponding note value would be played on the synth, but there is nothing.
is there something i'm doing wrong? thanks in advance.... |

From the manual
Quote: | If you’re using a USB connection, the data from the
computer is transmitted from the padKONTROL’s MIDI OUT
connector. MIDI messages generated by operating the
padKONTROL’s trigger pads and X-Y pad will not be
transmitted from the MIDI OUT connector. (p.2 |
So it sounds like you neeed a power adaptor. |
