I'm a bass player who don't know much about synths but got a deal on a Triton I couldn't turn down. Spent a day slowly learning as much as I could about this thing so far, and will probably have lots of questions in the future. Real simple one first...

I want to update the version. I currenly have studio version 1.0.3. I downloaded the proper update, understand I need to copy the files onto floppies without the folders, etc. Only problem is MOST COMPUTERS DON'T COME WITH FLOPPY DRIVES ANY MORE! Sad

Can I do this with the CD ROM? If not, how do I get the floppies I need. Thanks.

No, you'll have to use floppies.
You'll need to get the data onto floppies, somehow.
