|
|
We're pleased to announce a new type of project for us (Korg USA) - an E-zine covering a bunch of our technology products.
Visit here and enjoy:
http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/newbay/kb_korg/index.php
Lot's of good content/applications for you to enjoy. I know - you'll all wish it were video-based so you could see me "doing my thang", but I'm really shy...
Let me know how you like it, and happy Holidays in advance.
regards,
Jerry |

Very cool.
That's an excellent idea. Haven't seen one of those before from KORG.
Regards.

WOW! it seems very good (except for the sound of turning the page... it seems that you tear them off instead of turning them eh eh eh) _________________ http://www.synthaddicted.com |

Wow, that's a real page turner. Kept me up half the night.
It looks great. Good luck with the initiative. And thanks for sharing.
Happy Holidays to you too,

I wish the videos played more smoothly - buffering all the time for me which wouldn't be much of a problem if they actually loaded while paused.
Now it's like this:
- press play
- plays nice for a few seconds then stops for a couple and plays again and so on
- I press pause to let it load so I can play the whole thing
- leave it like that for a few minutes I imagine the video would be loaded by then (that's fine for me, I'm a patient person )
- press play - same thing - goes for a couple of seconds then buffers again

well done ! It reminds me of Zinio ( for the mac) but this is better
The embedded audio/video instructional or demos are an excellent idea
I have good bandwidth and there is no problem at all loading/buffering _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

What a cool idea!!! Korg you guys and girls are certainly leading technology from the front.
It would be nice to see all Korg's products like this, as well as being a subscriber to Korg's Keyboard/Guitarist magazine, will Korg incorporate the two of these magazines together into one E-zine?
Now that would be cool!!!
This is the way forward for all to see.

I liked the content. I loved the fact that I could bring it up on my laptop instantly while on vacation instead of having the paper sitting in my mailbox.
What I did not like was the poor video caching. Like Voltan mentioned, if your line can't keep the video doesn't seem to get buffered if you pause it. I was on my wireless aircard so I didn't have consistent speed. The plugin and the magazine loaded fast. I didn't have any problem streaming the audio files. |

Great!!
Thanks a lot Jerry!
I hope in the future it will have room for more "technical" articles rather than only advertising products. Of course, it's right in that way, too, it's a great way to read a mag!

It was Bobby who got to spend the time with OP, not me - I only wish I had the chance...
