The answer to that would probably be a few samples, depending on the latency of your audio device. Nothing that couldn't be fixed by nudging the recorded tracks.
The real advantage for me is the absence of noise from the signal: you get exactly what the M3 produces; no hum, no hiss and no gain stage management. On the down side, I think (need to check that out...) the clock is fixed at 48kHz, which is just not the frequuency I use to record most of my stuff (44.1kHz).
