Isn't there an adaptor that connects the SM media slot directly to a computer?
I've read a lot in the forums about sharing/exchanging patterns, samples, whole esx files... where does it happen? Is anyone interested if I set one a web site up for this? |

i was thinking about the same idea...
are you (like me) tired of go from the card reader to the esx card slot and back again and again?
i think sucha adevice would be a smartmedia card with a usb connector in the place you grab it...so both the esx and the pc could access it at the same time...i don´t know if it possible
about the esx file exchange forum i don´t see any sx or mx file here... |

of course it's possible. The SM card being flash media or whatever they call it, it would probably need a bit of software to "emulate" the card and communicate with it. I keep imagining a ribbon slotting in the back of the esx and ending in a firewire plug or something... |

well, that´s a way
but i think a regular smartmedia with an USB connector in the grabbing edge could be much more versatil so you could just plug the USB cable from your computer, transfer the files, disconect it and still use the smartmedia for loading different files into the electribe without havieng to transfer them again from the computer...just load the smartmedia as a hard drive and the disconect the cable and use it standalone |
