Nope.
The majority of content currently being submitted by people / robots is a mixture of viruses, porn and pirate software. So opening the forum up to this content is not a good idea. It's best that things stay as they are and that everything that is to be added to the download section passes through me.
This way the content is 100% safe, and legal.
Regards.

Hi Sharp,
I agree what you say about the risks caused by spam and copyright theft and I hope you don't regard me as falling into either of those categories.
FYI, the forums that do permit some users to add "clip" attachments to their posts, tend to grant this privilege to trusted users who have passed the administrator's criteria over a period of time. Couldn't you add this as an option - at least for those like Karmathanever that you have designated as co-administrators ?
Also, I've not heard back from you for a long time following several requests and so I wonder if there is some other problem like your inbox overflowing or your spam filter working too hard?
a) Please could you post the new "v3" expanded Songbook I sent you onto the downloads area? I filled in the required form on the downloads page several months ago, but received no response. I'm currently responding to about three email requests per week for this.
b) How did you get on reviewing the first tutorial DVD that I sent you? If there was a possibility of clips being included in the downloads area, I would have no objection to posting say 3 to 5 minutes of footage on the forum, and could supply this to you in .avi format so it is freely shareable. You will see that Korg have kindly posted some comments on the DVD under the Pa1x sticky thread, so there is definitely no problem with the DVD content.
Thanks,
Rob |
