Hi,
Thanks to anyone with any ideas on this;
I have an M1EX (which i miraculously found at the dump in excellent condition) .
I would like to check out the M1ex original factory preload.
Korg sent me the original factory load as a .mid file.
I sent it over to keyboard.
The names are correct in the progs and combis but they don't sound correct at all... like the prog3: Alto sax is like a koto trem sound and most of the others don't match too..

Do i have the wrong PCM data? The correct pcm data should be built in, no? or do I need a rom card to load the m1ex pcm data?
Is it possible that someone replaced the m1ex pcm data with m1 data?
I have read that "PCM cards cannot be read and sent out over MIDI in any way."

I'm not having trouble with any of the many other sysex files i've been using.

I submitted the m1ex.mid file which korg sent me to the download section of this site... hopefully someone out there can test it for me once it is posted there.

my set up is mac OS9 g4, eridol usb midi interface, OMS, OMS Sysex sender, and I use protools d24 to send .mid sysex.

If i wasn't already bald, i'd be pulling my hair out...
Any help would be greatly apprciated
Timbo
