Which is the best for trance music. I dont really care for the vocoder, all i want is quality for trance. Soft trance like dj tiesto or paul van dyk, ayla. Stuff like that.

The R3. The Micro-X has some trance-ish presets, but the R3 offers you more control over the sound. Still, getting a sample-playback synth for some realistic sounds is a good idea, especially if you want the softer stuff.

You've taken into account that you're going to need other stuff than this too? Wink (e.g. sequencer, sampler, harddiskrecorder, compressor and EQ in any shape or form)

well i do have a mpc 2000xl, but thats about it.
