Both hands occupied must be a relative term if a slider is an acceptable solution. You can reach the sliders on the keyboard, but not on the mixer, right? Very Happy

I don't think you can get the sliders ...

Yes, it should work as long as you have a way to get MIDI out of your electronic drum kit.

I've heard that many electronic drum kits are designed only with their own sound source in mind, though. ...

I think the answer is no.

If I'm right on that, my approach to your problem would be to have all the sounds you need in one combi, using karma to switch which sound(s) are active for the second key ...
