KO2 by far. But there is plenty to do with the KO1 as well.

Why not keep the KO1 and enjoy it. Wait for a price decrease on the 2 and then buy one.

Considering that the entire back plastic piece is designed to come off, it'd be nice to have a "hard shell" version available for sale.

Or just charge $10 for a stronger, separate shell ...

I've messed around a bit with the mic with mixed results.

If you're willing to sit there and get the exact right distance from the mic, and get the volume of what you're doing it's useable.

I know this isn't exactly the answer you wanted, but can't you just keep a little reference notebook with:

Song1: bpm 148, etc..? And adjust accordingly each time?
