PostForum: Korg ModWave   Posted: Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:18 pm   Subject: Controlling intensity of a motion sequence
I use my Modwave with Cubase DAW. Is there a way to automate the intensity of a motion sequence so that the effect can be smoothly brought in and out rather than just started and stopped? This should ...

I recently contacted Korg to express my annoyance that they released the MkII Modwave with free-running LFOs which were a significant omission from the MkI that should have been corrected by a firmwar ...

I held off buying my Modwave because it has no free-running LFOs, which are essential for creating good drones and pads. The only way I can do it is using the Kaoss pad, which is a waste of good LFOs. ...

After I had to reinstall Windows 10 and all my software, I find that I can't make the Korg USB Windows driver see the Modwave any longer. Device Manager sees the Modwave, but the Korg driver setup uti ...

OK, so I've tested this. You can simulate a free-running LFO with the Kaoss physics engine and using the Offset Mod Processor.Fabulous. Thank you. It works... just about. I set it exactly as you sugge ...

Yeah, it's not immediately obvious but you can do this. Turn on Sync Notes for the LFO and you'll have a LFO that does not restart with each key press.

If it helps, this is from the manual:

SYNC ...

PostForum: Korg ModWave   Posted: Sat Mar 04, 2023 4:38 pm   Subject: Letting the Morph LFO run
I'm new to the Modwave and I want to use the Morph LFO at a very slow speed to modulate the Morph amount. It seems that this is rather restricted, as (looking at the Editor software) the LFO restarts ...

Is this for sending velocity data out via MIDI or just for how the keyboard itself responds to internal performances / programs?

If it's the latter, on the Amp (and/or Filter) pages, set the Veloci ...

Is it possible to fix the keyboard velocity at 127? None of the nine curves available seems to offer this obvious function.

unsure if Korg released a full MIDI implementation spec for the Modwave. One thing you can try though is recording Set List Changes and Performance Changes from the Modwave to Cubase to see what the M ...
