I'm pretty sure that erase motion seq will erase all motion from that part.

If you want to keep one parameter's motion and delete another you'll have to press step edit, go down to motion sequence, ...

hmmm, maybe I should try again with a new version of ableton.
My problem wasn't so much that I couldn't get sync, more that when i tried to route the audio from the synched tribe back into ableton it ...

The good news;

It is massively unlikely that there is anything wrong with your electribe. They have solid clocks.

The bad news;
Software DAWs are terrible at keeping sync with hardware.
